Sports images - Central PA photographer, L Montgomery studios

Taking sports photos in the rain was fun and watching a young, fierce competitor was even better. I was so happy when they called to ask me to do this - something out of the norm. Documenting such a big part of the high school experience, in this case, Field Hockey, is just as important as the senior photo. So don't forget to take pictures! Someday they will look back on those photos and think, "Yeah, I was pretty good at that!" and be thankful there was proof.

Part two pictures will be in the post season - let's hope for better weather.

Not only is M. a good athlete but she is up for Valedictorian in the best school district in the area. She's a funny, terrific person whom I can't say enough good things about - she's just that great.

To the parents - upcoming sessions- Elizabethtown, PA area photographer, Central PA

- School photos

They are coming up and they're not just for Seniors anymore. I have a few new "school" props for that one of a kind children's portrait. While it's endearing to have the standard school photo, it's also nice to get a portrait done in a more relaxed setting where your child can be his or her self!

yes, that's a laundromat

- Don't forget the costume!

I am booking for Halloween photos but have limited times for those. Call early to schedule!

- Parties!

Have you ever gone half way through a party and realized you hadn't even taken one picture yet? Let me document it for you so you can enjoy your child's day and remember all those fun details.

Please call me at 592-0140 or 327-9232 for more info about any or all of these projects.

Beautiful Senior - Central PA photographer

When a session goes particularly well, I have a hard time deciding which photo is my favorite so I just pulled a few files at random. This girl is one of my favorite people. I've had the opportunity to get to know her over the past 4 years and she is always laughing and making others feel happy. It was a fun session and I look forward to the rest of our seasonal portraits.

Enjoy!

Josh - Lancaster county, PA photographer, modern senior portraits

When I was asked to take Josh's senior portraits he asked if I could take some of him wearing his football jersey. I said "Absolutely!" because I think photos should really reflect who you are and that is so important in senior photos. No teen-ager wants the standard yearbook photo for their most important and hopefully, fun year.

For Josh, his high school football career was one of his most memorable times and I think we captured it. I was so honored when his parents sent me a graduation announcement they designed using some of the following pictures.

City scenes - family session, Lancaster county photographer

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a vibrant and beautiful family. Both Kyle and Heather are avid snowboarders. Heather is also a good cook and makes a mean cake that I have been thinking about since I first tasted it at a Cinco de Mayo picnic. Seriously delish.

After talking with them about what kind of photos they wanted, besides the family portrait, we decided that city scenes would be fun, something with an urban feel. A kind of paparazzi style session without the creepy stalker-ish invasion of privacy thing. So I scouted out some interesting areas and alley ways which is always fun to do and these were some of the results.

Seriously such a good looking couple.

Beautiful boy

For the photo below, I was actually positioning myself on the ground when their little boy stood up from where he was sitting and squealed. I was sooo thankful I didn't miss it. There's no creating it. Moments like that are so funny.

Love the nuzzle

I am now booking mini and full sessions for July and August.

Scouting - Elizabethtown, PA photographer, Central Pa photographer

We went to scout an area for upcoming sessions and the girls are always willing to test a backdrop for me. I love that they like to do that for me.

Of course I will be using a different lens but I liked what I saw.

There are all kinds of interesting places that you just have to keep an eye out for and be prepared to stop the car and test it. I always ask the kids to keep a lookout for me and they have directed me toward some hidden gems.

Opportunity knocks...or leaves a message

I received a voice mail from a friend who proposed a good opportunity for me. So, I just signed on to do spring mother and daughter photos for a business owner. Details to come. And so the season begins!

Winter/holiday lovely - a family photo session, Elizabethtown, PA photographer

We waited for a day with temperatures above freezing to take holiday pictures for this beautiful family. I crossed my fingers for two weeks hoping that the weather forecast would hold.

Camille said the kids would be donning their Christmas outfits so we chose an indoor venue with a beautifully decorated tree as the background. Hoping it wasn't too cold, I also wanted to hit the streets and find a "town" backdrop. Happily, it was a balmy 40 degrees!

We still had to work quickly but managed to get some cute and candid shots.
I mean, how could we not? Can you see how pretty they are??

When I edit, I make the picture large and go through it with a fine tooth comb. I look for anything that may need re-touching but Camille did not have one flaw to edit. What a lucky girl!
But not only that, they are really nice people as well.

They were a great family to work with, letting me take several pictures. I knew that with two toddlers, you have to keep snapping away to capture just the right moment. I have to give the kids a lot of credit, they were happy and really hung in there with me.

Thanks guys!

Just a few from the day...
